New Year, New You

This time of year can be a tricky one.  For me, it’s always been a time to slow down and reflect.  To recalibrate and look inward.  I’m a firm believer that I am in control of my own destiny so if life isn’t looking quite like I want it to, then it’s up to me to make the necessary adjustments.  This process requires a bit of time, a bit of quiet and a bit of introspection.  That can be tough with the hustle and bustle of the season.  The world makes demands that often place selfcare at the bottom of the list. 

 

As you know, we have two practice locations.  Our Murfreesboro location has been our flagship for years and just 1 year ago, we took a leap and opened our Franklin location.  It has been wonderful, we have had great support from our clients and have continued to see growth in both locations.  All of that has been everything I could have envisioned.  But as life goes, it has brought demands and stretched us farther than we might have imagined.  When I say, I understand letting your selfcare go, I really do understand first hand.   

 

You may wonder where I am going with all of this….

 

This practice is truly rooted in helping clients be their best selves, on the inside and out.  Of course, we were one of the first medical spas in the area and since have climbed our way to being a top Botox practice in our district. My work has been recognized, and 3 years ago I was asked to join an elite group of National ACE trainers and speakers with Allergan, the company that makes Botox and Juvederm.  It is very important in our practice that we do not just perform good, but great and natural work.  Our goal is to boost confidence, and if there is that one thing that is bothering you when you look in the mirror, we can help with that.  These “anti-aging”, aesthetic procedures are what our practice was built on, but we all know there is so much more. 

 

The wellness side of our practice is where we truly embrace anti-aging.  Did you know that we can avoid so much of what is considered “normal” aging simply by taking care of our bodies?  I know, I know, life gets in the way.  Everyone is busy and running from one thing to the next.  Everyone is eating on the go.  Everyone is stressed…..letting life get in the way of self-care, letting ourselves “go”. 

 

After a year of running and stretching and stressing with our new practice location, we’ve noticed that we aren’t always practicing what we preach.  It is so easy for life to get too fast, for an extra 5 or 50 pounds to creep on, for the stress to creep in.  We understand, believe me, we do. 

 

Wellness and selfcare runs deep and can have a lot of layers, but one of the primary pieces that impacts every single aspect of wellness is weight.  Shedding the extra pounds has been shown to decrease heart disease, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes and certain cancers.  In addition, it improves mobility and decreases issues with aches and pains.  Almost everyone I know is dealing with at least one of the things on this list. 

 

The good news is that there are tested and proven methods for losing the weight and keeping it off. There is real data, clinical studieson HCG and its powerful effects on weight loss.  Over the past year since adding our weight loss program, we have witnessed client after client take control, shed the extra pounds and change their lives for the better.  We’ve had clients lose 30, 50, even 70 pounds with us.  They feel better and their confidence is soaring.  For me, that’s what it’s all about.
